Hot take! Eliminate corner cabinets

When you can eliminate corner cabinets from your kitchen design, I’d recommend it.

For the most part, corner cabinets are less efficient, and if you want the way they function to be optimized, the interior features like a turning shelf or a sleek pull-out will add a significant cost.

Don’t get me wrong - sometimes the best use of space is an ‘L-shaped kitchen’ or a ‘U-shaped kitchen’ which will require one or two base corner cabinets (or voiding the corners - leaving them without storage)… but when it’s possible to design a kitchen - or any built-in cabinetry for that matter - without a base corner cabinet - I’d prefer it, and suggest it.
